Kinra Space

Space brings a personal Linux machine and your conversations with Kin into your browser. Files, installed tools, and saved conversations remain on the machine between visits. Your home keeps your sessions within reach, with whatever else you ask Kin to keep there, and Kin is one button away on every page.

This manual is for people who already have a Space. Reading it or installing the browser app does not create a machine or an account.

Start with one useful thing

Each Space has its own address. kinra.space is the front door: sign in there and it takes you to yours. Follow Your first visit to sign in, ask Kin a small question, and return to the conversation. You can begin without creating a project or connecting every account.

Three places to understand

• Space is your personal machine and its browser home.
• A workspace is a folder where work happens. Every one has a tile on Workspaces, and the ones you pin stay in the sidebar. Workspaces share the machine and are not isolated from one another.
• A session is a conversation with Kin in a workspace. Sessions can use the main folder or their own copies. Choose a new session for a fresh conversation and Session history… to continue an earlier one.

Chat and Kin’s panel show the same conversation in Kin’s own workspace, ~/Workspace/Kin. Ask Kin on Home begins a fresh conversation there. For work in a project, begin with that project’s New session. Live in the sidebar keeps every open session in reach, wherever it is working.

Space provides the browser controls. Kin keeps conversation history, models, tools, and approval decisions. The Kin manual explains Kin in depth; its terminal commands are not all browser controls. A project’s history is ordinary Git in its own folder, shared through its GitHub remote when it has one.
